The windows of a ruined wall frame the Cowhole Mountains on the other side of a dry Soda Lake, part of the Mojave NP.

Canon T1i, f/16, ISO-200, 1/200 sec, 41mm, handheld.

Dave, That was a great idea shooting this view through the old wall and windows. I think this worked out really nice!
Makes me wonder what this building was once used for.

Dave I think this worked out great, and I am really enjoying the view. I love the creativity, and I had an idea. Have you tried to capture this scene with a entire section of the window and just a bit of the wall to frame up the image?
I guess it would be like a pano, but you would you would probably have to crop the image significantly for it to work, but I think it would be cool. I hope that made sense.

Anyway, this is great as is Dave.

Here's a different take on the scene, Ryan. I preferred the original post because it is obvious that there is no roof on the building. Both images blur the line between what is inside and what is outside due to the vegetation on each side. I like the dead grasses in this image but did not like the top edge where the window sash peters out.

Thanks for commenting!

Dave,

I think the intimate re-post is sweet. I feel much involved in the this image, and great eye on these images. I really feel like the re-post brings the viewer in and keeps him or her in the scene.
