Autumn Fern, Yosemite

Early morning light in El Capitan Meadow, Yosemite. I liked the delicate color and shapes of the Sword Fern against the textured skin of this old Ponderosa Pine.

Excellent find here, Preston. Is the fern growing or is it dead and laying on the log? Looks like it could still be in the ground from this view.
Regardless, the color of the fern is perfect in contrast with the old tree / log........

Preston, fall ferns, before they drop their leaves, have such great color and shape and you've set those of well with the detailed tree behind.
