Saw this scene one morning as the sun topped a ridge. Taken with an E-M1 at 1/6400, f/4, ISO 100 at 80mm. Richard

Richard, thanks for posting in the Photo Art Gallery, but I'm going to move this over to the Landscape Gallery.

Richard,

I really like this image if you were to crop the sun out of it. The sun is just a bit over bearing for my tastes, but the crop makes this image simply beautiful in my book.

What do you think?

Richard,
The sun is clearly very dominant but I do not find it overly distracting, although just a tad more less centered may help.
The silhouette of the horse is great :toast: :toast:

Ryan and Ken: thanks for your comments and suggestions. I think the crop is a good idea and places more emphasis on the horse. Yet, I like the original as well. Conflicted! Richard

Great silhouette and I really like the dusty (misty) bg but I'd vote for less or no sun.

I agree with Ryan about the sun. For me the subject is the beautiful silhouette of the horse and the sun does distract. When I scroll down so all you can see is the tippiest bottom of the sun the image looks much stronger.
