I prefer the winter over the summer plumage for goldfinches. I like the subtle colors and the interaction between gray and pale yellow. K5 IIs, 300mm f4 (1/640 sec at f6.3, ISO 640).............Jim

Understand what you say re the colours Jimi certainly like subtle colours on this one, really nice uncluttered shot.

Nice clean image Jim. I also like the colors as stated. Tiniest nit...I wish you had a touch more had turn, but we can only take what we are given.
