Another image from my session taking shots of these birds in the rain, this one is just shaking off the water droplets when the rain had stopped. Do understand that with a slow shutter speed a lot of the bird would not be sharp but even though it might be incorrect(do find I learn by trying different things) it's an image I like. Would be very interested to know what others think be it good or bad. Shot taken from a cold wet hide on the moors in the North of England.

Thanks for looking and your comments on my Crested Tit.

Hi Keith, I think albeit more luck, but you have pulled it off as you probably would be looking at 125/250sec to retain some rain streaks. Both eye & bill are sharp, so works for me, but I think we do need to address the comb to get more detail, but not to loose any vibrancy. My only nit would be more space below for the 'virtual' legs, although you may already have that? Nicely processed & just enough on the BKG/FG.

Give me some warning next time you are up there, we could perhaps meet up as you'll be on my patch when I'm up there at the other house.

Keep the hard work up Keith, you are doing some cracking stuff at present! :toast:

Keith: I think this is a very good capture of the moment. The eye and head are sharp. Also, there is enough motion blur in the body along with the water droplets flying off the bird to instantly tell the viewer what is happening. Good one! Richard

Sweet One Keith  I think the motion blur adds interest to this behavior, I really like the flying rain drops too.

Talk about shaking off the water...reminds me of a wet retriever coming out of the lake. Nice job getting the action on this on Keith and like the low POV.

A very cool shot with the head nice and sharp and the body showing the motion of shaking off the water. I think your shutter speed worked very well for the situation. :toast:
