Lacy Sky

This image was taken at a nearby park in the northwest of San Francisco Bay, at China Camp. I went there to photograph the moonrise, looking east, but ended up more intrigued with the patterns of the leafless buckeye trees against the sky. A fisherman is in the distance.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

This has a nice feel to it. I like the blue/orange combo here and the patterns in the branches are great. A moon in one of the open spaces would be a nice element. Well seen.

I really like this image, Kathy, and the composition is sweet. The color and branches made me think of Maxfield Parrish. Very nice work.

Love all the bare branches here, Kathy. They are set off so well by the gentle colors in both the sky and the water. The subtle inclusion of the path and the human add a nice size context to the scene.

I really like the color and tone gradation in the sky - eyecatching yet very natural. The fine detail on the leafless trees works very well.

Hey Kathy,
Great Title for this beautiful post. I cannot add much to what has already been said about this scene you captured and presented so nicely.

You did a good job composing this scene with all its branches. I also love the colors contrast of the warm and cold tones.

Excellent Kathy. I love trees in winter with all their intricate branches exposed. Your comp is excellent and the colors in the sky are beautiful. I hope you have one without the fisherman as well. Great work!
