Mt Scott Storm

This is a three photo HDR of a thunderstorm over Mt. Scott at Crater Lake NP this past June. This storm gradually built through the afternoon and I was hopeful it was going to explode right around sunset. It sure did look promising but slowly fizzled although it still made for a very pretty sunset. Mt. Scott caught the last rays of light as the entire sky tuned pink and orange. Comments and suggestions are always appreciated, thanks for looking.

Beautiful light and dramatic color, but it looks over processed to me. Compression for the internet may have affected it also.

The light is very nice, but I do agree this looks over-processed--the far shore and the mountain look flat, at least to me.

You've got some lovely light and and a fine scene with great depth here, Joe. I think your processing looks good, except that the distant ridges feel a bit too bright and low in contrast relative to the tree covered ridge on the right. I also see a slight halo along the distant ridge line, especially along the right half, but I get halo's like that in my processing regularly so I'm sensitive to their presence. (Wish I had a dollar for every sunrise/sunset that started out promising and then fizzled, way more than this!)

Thanks folks, I'll take another crack at and see if I can get it to look a bit more natural. HDR images are fun but they can all to easily take on that psychedelic look.
