The photographer and Nature

There was thrill, with all the macro photography this year.

One of those situations when you searched for the subject, and the subject was comfortably sitting on your camera bag.

Great light, Balan! The texture of the bag is actually quite cool - !

Nice contrast of the insect with the bag, and great glow from above/within the insect! The texture of the bag works well!

A very appropriate background for this gallery. I'd note that typically the "man" to "nature" ratio is exactly the opposite of this image, too! Very cool, Balan.

Good capture of this hopper, Balan. Certainly eye-catching against the textured bg of the camera bag. I guess this hopper just wanted his picture taken.

I do think this image was should have been posted in macro vs. M&N. As stated in the M&N topic description:

The Man & Nature photo critique gallery is intended for photos that depict landscapes, seascapes, or rural scenes that contain limited evidence of hand-of-man (HOM) such as a path, fence, man-made structure or people within an overall nature theme. The HOM element of the photo may not occupy more than 25% of the frame.
