Prenanthes alba

I found these in bloom last August near Mio, Michigan. They are probably Prenanthes alba or white lettuce. Wind and rain prevented me from getting a descent shot with the lens stopped down so 34 images later I was able to get this final image from a Pmax stack. The flower was in heavy shade too. There's a few artifacts left to edit, but most of them have been corralled! K5 IIs (300mm f4 + 32mm extension 1/250sec at f4.5, ISO 800)..................Jim

Looks like a Hosta stem and blooms to me.

These do look like they've been through a storm, Jim. You've got excellent detail throughout and a fine background. Yes, fixing up a stack when there's movement can take lots of time. It looks like your well on you way here.

Looks fairly good, but I would check the weather forecast next time.

Well worth the trouble, Jim ! Excellent close up with some fine detail and good lighting for a flower in heavy shade. I like the gradient bg very much also.
