From what I remember this is a Tigress, laying some way from the road in Bandhavgargh, India. Taken in the early morning. Virtually full frame, composition determined by surrounding bush.

This is a lovely setting, Ken. I like your placement of the subject in the frame and the inclusion of so much surrounding color.

Heading there for the first time in a couple months!

Nice habitat shot; well composed. Being partial to tigers, I would have also liked this cropped to have more of the tiger in the frame. :toast:

I suspect this needs to be viewed large (or larger) to be appreciated. Probably you have already worked the brightness zones in the background to even things up, but I think you would do well to also tweak (as in tone down) the bright, saturated-green leaves in the upper left corner, which tend to draw the eye away from the tiger. Alternatively, a careful crop would be another option. Then, IMO, the background and surroundings contribute to an excellent tiger-scape.

Great setting and complimentary colors and relaxed, but chilling eyes of the ever watchful big cat.
Nicely done Ken

I really like your composition here Ken . . . . Great setting that had to be included. Shame you couldn't get some of that golden light in BG on the tiger. Still Great !! :toast:
