Hello Folks,
This is a robber fly fast asleep, with some dew drops on it. The morning light which lit up the far off dry grass, and my subject in the shadow.

Hi Balan,
You seem to have a knack for finding these robber flies. I like the composition, soft lighting, and tack sharp subject. I'm not sure about the out of focus grass inflorescence in the lower center. It seemed to draw my eye a bit. I really like the reddish bracts which frame and provide an ideal foundation for the robber fly. Overall, a very cool image that deserves to be examined ...................Jim

I love the focus and color on the fly. I do fined the out of focus foreground a bit distracting - perhaps darkening that part of the inflorescence juts a bit might make it less prominent?

My thoughts on this one echo Jim's. I like the detail in the Robber Fly, and the color in the eye is terrific. I also like the smooth bg, particularly the color. The oof foreground is a bit messy, and I would prefer more space in front of the subject, but overall another fine robber fly image, Balan.

What a fine catch, Balan. The background is wonderful and all of the spikes on the grass and the fly's legs add to the sense that this is a bad guy, don't mess with it.
