Morning Highlights

This is from the same volcanic area as my previous post. the composition is much tighter and is intended to be far more abstract, with highlights and lines emphasized.

Feel free to see the large version. The small does not bring out much detail.

Thanks for the comments on my previous posts. The suggestions were quite helpful.

i like the abstract nature here, harley. for some reason, the lower right corner looks a little empty to me, unbalancing the comp a little ...???

The bright creosote bushes against the dark volcanic cinders give this an ethereal look and feel. The composition looks fine to me. I like the long shadows cast by the bushes, too.

Harley, Yes, the large version works much better to see the nice textures and detail. Makes me think of clouds floating by in a dark sky. Pretty cool looking and I like it!

Nice Harley. I like the shadows cast from the shrubs. They sorta do like clouds floating by.. Stuart has a point about the lower right corner, but it is a small nit.
