Haven't posted in awhile. Found this White-breasted Nuthatch hanging around during a snow storm last week here in Indiana. Lighting was bad, but the conditions were great!! Hope you enjoy!

Nice shot. I like the snowflakes, the pose and the "perch". Nice comp as well. I wouldn't say it is unsharp but I would still ad a bit of sharpening around the head and eyes.

I agree with Robert. I think I would lighten up the eye a bit as well.

Just my view but the focus point looks to be on the bark of the tree rather than the bird, maybe some sharping would help. Think the whole scene with the pose of the bird and the snow flakes is really nice.

Jason - I love this species and I love this image! This is just a genuine moment of natural history captured and presented faithfully. I cannot disagree with the above suggestions re a bit of dodging or other selective brightening of the eye along with selective sharpening of the head, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker. This is a very pleasing image as presented.

I love all the elements in this one, Jason. It has a really cool mood to it! It is nice and sharp on his back, but not as much around his face. Wondering if you maybe focused on his shoulder area? Still an amazing image nonetheless! The movement in the snowflakes looks neat.
