Early Morning

I was out early this morning to shoot some stars over the prairie and also to shoot some sunrise images. This is an eight image stitch. I had to laugh a little at shrinking this from 22,136 to 720, it leaves a lot to be desired. The light was nice and I always find the different shapes in the wildcat hills interesting. This was just before the sun came over the horizon. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Canon 7D
Sigma 17-70
Manual
Shutter 2 sec
Aperture f13
ISO 100
70mm
Tripod and remote shutter release plus 2 sec delay
This took a some work in PSE13, especially in the sky so everything blended reasonably well. It is cropped to about 90% of original.

Nice golden light on the landscape. The panoramic format works well here as it showcases the vastness of the landscape.

Hi Richard... It's a bit small here on NPN so hard to truly judge. I like the composition and the transition of colors from warm to cool and the textures of the grass and mountains with snow. I may give just a little more room at the top. Also, youve got fantastic light coming from the light but the mountain is a bit flat IMO, you may want to look at some slight burning in the shadows to emphasize the light's direction in basking the formation

This looks like a beautiful image, but I think that the NPN size limit does not do justice to it. Also, do you have the bytes to add a bit more of sky? I feel that peak at the center and the one on the right are a bit too tight. In any event, this is the sort of image that would look really nice printed as a long banner!

Richard this is a nice pano with some nice light. It's a bit small though. I would give just a little bit more room at the top.

Nice light and formations. I would concur with more room at the top.

Lovely scene, and very well suited for a pano. I would just like to see more of the sky.

Richard, This is one of those scenes that I wish I could see much larger! I'm sure it would be impressive to look at and we just can't get that here at this size. Looks like great light with wonderful warm color and the snow added such a nice touch. I agree a little more room on the top would be nice which you probably have.

The colors and shapes are great, Richard. The dusting of snow doe a good job of accenting both of those. The ridges feel crowded against the frame, so I too would like to see a bit more sky.
