Winter Wonderland

This was without a doubt the coldest I have ever been. It was well below zero with the wind chill; but it was a winter wonderland. This was taken a couple of years ago on Backbone Mountain in WV.

As always, thanks for your thoughts.

I love how you framed the sweet light on the distant ridge with these snow covered trees. I had to put another blanket on while I enjoyed this, Ed. Really nice winter scene, BTW, my mom is from West Virginia. :wavey:

Beautiful winter scene. I love how you composed the image using the snow covered trees as a frame for the distant hills

A fine look at a snowy landscape, Ed. Love the snowy trees and how the view fades into the distance.

Nice job finding an effective, orderly composition amongst the chaotic elements of that chilly morning. I can still feel the cold viewing this image. The larger image brings out a lot more detail in the bg snow covered mountains. :toast:

Lovely light, and very nice detail. I do find my eye hopping from one side to the other, though. The tones and color look spot-on to me.

Lovely. Great composition with the frosty trees framing the view into the misty distance.

Initially I thought this suffered from so much plain sky in the middle but the larger view leads me in well and really works nicely.
