French Partridge.
I could call it field craft as some do but I don't really think so. I was sat in my car trying to photograph a rabbit when this bird suddenly turned up at the side of the car and started to try to dust bathe in mainly pebbles ! Seemed completely oblivious to me or the vehicle ! I thought it quite nice the way the light seemed to pick out the bird from what would I think normally be called a "messy" background.

Nice John. I like the light on the bird as well as its pose. The plants in shadow behind the bird are helpful in that they help to frame the bird and make it stand out more.

I like the way the bird stands out from the nicely green framed vegetation. Well done John! :toast:

What the others commented X 2. Beautiful. Were you able to get any shots of it throwing some dust and pebbles around?
