Wow Gigi,
Amazing image of an amazing flower, never seen this particular one before. Between your skills and mother nature's beauty this is amazing. I am not sure about the composition however, seems to be cropped too tight, a full view of the subject is needed here IMO, interested to hear what everyone thinks. Man !

Looks like a Kiwi bloom, but I am not sure. Whatever, it is remarkably sharp, well lit and very beautiful. I, too would like to see more of the bloom if that is possible.

Gigi: I love passion flowers and this is a superb specimen. The rain drops are a very nice bonus. Most excellent. >=))>

Definitely a passion flower. As kids, we used to call them Maypops. You could step on the seed pod and get a good "Pop" out of them. Gigi, a good straight down shot of this beauty. Great colors, and the complex symmetry along with the water drops make for an excellent picture!

Love the intricate structure and symmetry, Gigi. For some reason, this reminds me of a fancy watch. So, well "timed" for the raindrops and light.

Doesn't get much better than this. Beautiful color, detail, and comp. The raindrops are a wonderful bonus but this would be outstanding without them. Kudos

A wonderfully crystalline quality and some vivid colouring make for a striking image, Gigi. I am wondering if this is perhaps a focus blend of some kind - the detail is so sharp. Excellent photography !!!!

No Ian, I don't use blending technique. Sometimes, when I need more DOF, I make two shots with different focus points and blend them manually in two Photoshop levels. Nikkor 200mm macro is a great lens even at f/19. Thanks for your interest in this photo.

This is outstanding, Gigi! Very dramatic, with a fine tight focus on the flower's central parts with a wonderful sprinkling of water drops. I think the subtle offset in the frame adds a nice hint of tension.
