Autumn pattern

Found this nice little leaf last autumn in northern Norway. I'm slightly bothered by the three brown spots, but I don't want to clone them out, so I'll have to live with it.

Focus stack of twelve pictures. f/11 (effective aperture), 1/15, ISO 200, 100 mm macro lens.

C&C welcome, large version is included.

Roel

This is really cool :toast: The brown spots bother me also. You could crop just inside the spots and still have a great photo. You might try that and see what you think.

This is a wonderfully warm and gentle pattern, Roel, very nicely composed. The details throughout are great. While I could see this without the brown spots, they are very much part of nature's way and do help tell the story of dying leaves at the end of summer.

Marvelously rendered fractal pattern, and I also like the soft color palette. I agree about leaving the brown spots - that is what nature is all about (not just mathematically perfect fractals!)

Sorry, I beg to differ. This pattern and the complementary colors are so perfect, that I'd clone out the spots - if this were mine. But, that'd just me. The imperpections are not unusual shapes or colors, which I might keep. they are to me a mar on a beautiful BG......"sigh"

Wow, Roel, the detail you achieved the stacking is terrific. Edge to edge sharpness. Nice work!

:toast:

I have no strong opinion regarding the spots. Although I usually clone out blemishes in flowers, I could and probably would live with the spots in this leaf.

Roel..this is beautiful....very well seen. I love the color palette in the frame. A very well balanced image. Could there have been one tad bit more contrast..

Wonderful comp, detail, and colors! The brown spots don't bother me in this image because they blend in very well with the leaf, so they don't seem like a distraction to me.
