This guy on Dunn's Creek in Florida appears to be hard at work formulating a plan for get'n this Cruiser back on the water and from the look of things, it's taking a while to implement.
Abandoned and Derelict Vessels are an ongoing problem to navigation and the environment.
Derelict Vessels are said to create a number of problems that include:
•Navigational hazards;
•Pollution from fuel, oil or other hazardous materials onboard;
•Ecological and environmental considerations;
•Esthetic eyesores that impact the image and economy of local municipalities;
•Financial burdens on local and state authorities.
You as the owner are responsible for removing the vessel from the waters of the state and having it transported to an approved landfill for destruction. The cost for doing this is a fraction of what the costs are to remove it from the water and destroy it after it sinks. Do your part to help the environment, the safety of others and the welfare of the state by disposing of your vessel responsibly.
