I tried for a different take on this oft photographed falls. Usually shot at a long enough exposure to give a pleasant streak. This is a bit quicker.

Grand image - nice blue sky with some whispy clouds and you can tell how dark it gets down in the valley. Wouldn't change a thing

Vertical pans are great for this type of image, especially if the exposure might need to vary from top to bottom. You have enough distance the shorter exposure still works well.

The 1/15 sec shutter speed is perfect for this waterfall.

The speed works perfectly, in my view. A longer exposure would have obliterated the very beautiful splashing where the waterfall hits the pool. I also really like the greens, especially the ones in deeper shade. :toast:

Beautiful Daniel. I really like your shutter speed effect on the water; much better INHO than the usual streak. In fact, you seem to water exposures down to a science - well done!

Beautiful! Shutter speed is spot on, large waterfalls don't need long exposures due to their higher speeds, so I really like this. My only nit is some color artifacts in the clouds in the sky from post-processing. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing!

A nice take on this location! I like seeing more of what is in that bowl. The included sky adds a nice color contrast, as well as sense of place. The big pine also gives a nice sense of scale.

Hi Daniel,

I really like how you included more of the bottom/fg so one can see the area where the falls is flowing to. The colors of green, brown, blue, and white work wonderfully together. One feels so happy when looking at this beautiful capture, and excellent work.

This looks very realistic in terms of how we see the water, Daniel. I think the added textures in the falls from you ss choice work well with all the different textures in the land around the falls. This is a lovely view.

Very nice scene, Daniel. I like the viewpoint, here with the clouds adding a nice touch. I like that we can see some good detail in the cascade.

Daniel, What a beautiful falls this is and I like how you captured it. Your shutter speed worked out great because I think the water looks really nice. I like seeing the surrounding area as well.

The shutter speed works well, not the usual milky waterfall (which also work). Real nice take on this locale.

The rocks where the water ends its fall and that pine on the left (renforcing the vertical strenght) are the added values to this so pleasurable image.
All the best,
