Hi all.

More dahlia photos that I decided to process after culling through my photos over the last month or so. A similar comp as the last one, just a different bloom.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Nathan

This has to be my favorite of the lot (so far), Nathan. The point of view generates great depth, and the resolution is fantastic!

Nathan: Best of the bunch so far. Superb rich color and a very pleasing comp. >=))>

Nathan, I like this view best of the dahlia shots, and the color is fantastic. I do note a minor structural defect—f/22, the limit on the Sigma 180 macro, was not enough to bring into sharp focus the upper tips of the bottom petals in the lower third of the image. This is somewhat offset by the much better POV. I don't see this as hurting the image, but you might consider a blend or a stack under similar circumstances. The Sigma 180 is a great lens. Wish I had one.

Really like this comp. It takes advantage of the symmetry and distribution of colors in the dahlia bloom.
