Great Sand Dunes NP

For anyone interested in patterns GSDNP is an incredibly target rich environment which can present a different look every day depending on the vagaries of wind. I spent an early morning there in November and essentially had the whole place to myself and my new 70-400. It seemed that there were compelling comps in every direction and this was one of my favorites. All comments welcome. >=))>

Bill, you got a terrific collection of images from the dunes. This one and how you've processed it for a few total darks and a few total brights works very well as a realistic abstract. Love that line of dunes and shadows receding into the distance.

BTW, I've answered your question about my lines shot in a response there.

Stunning image, Bill. Love how the smooth, featureless areas of the dunes contrast with the textured areas. Gorgeous design to your composition.
