Blue Morpho on Natal Lily.

I only got two images before this beautiful butterfly flew away. I do wish the upper left corner was more in focus.

D90, 105mm, f/5.6, 1/160, ISO 500, +0.7 EV, handheld, 89% of full frame. Butterfly house shot. February 2015.

This is really beautiful! The light and colors are wonderful. The OOF upper left corner doesn't bother me.

The colors are stunning and a creative crop. I see what you mean about the UL corner, but I don't care.

Yun ..thats top class. the blue orange combo works wonders here. I love the blue gradation ..and looks more like a painted frame. Print > frame > hang on wall.

Pretty rare to have such dynamic and contrasting colors in nature photography. A real striking image, Yun. :toast:

Yun: Knowing how difficult it is to catch a blue morpho with its wings open I have zero problem with the slightly blurred wing. This is an inspired comp and the color palette is spectacular. One of the most creative and best blue morpho shots I've seen in a long time. Most excellent. :toast: :toast: :toast: >=))>

Terrific color combo, Yun. The unusual comp. works well and really calls attention to the bf. The softness at the top is a minor flaw is a fine image that I think most viewers (outside of NPN) wouldn't notice.
