Below Mt Sefton, NZ
by Tom Falley
The Hooker Valley below Mt Cook has as it's first bit of excitement a classic pro glacial lake below the hanging icefalls of Mt Sefton. This one is a pan of two shots with a Hasselblad, 50 mm Distagon, then cropped vertically. Yes the original shows all of Mt Sefton, but it's an unrevealed secret unless you go there. The overall resolution of the image is such to be able to clearly examine the clothing and features of the lone hiker. A great location for exploring, on towards Mt Cook and it's own pro glacial lake at the head of the main valley off to the right.

1 commentsInteresting image. IMHO it is just a tad too dark. Also, it looks soft in the FG, might just be my monitor, but for me I prefer to have the FG sharp in these types of images. Thanks for sharing.
