A foggy, morning in fresh snow at Marrowbone Lake, Joelton, TN
Warm springs had made holes in the ice and while I was shooting the lake's surface a flock of geese flew by, so I changed subjects.
Processed in LR5 PS-CC and Topaz B&W effects.

I agree with Rick - the grainy and antique feel is mysterious.

Hard to know what to say about this. The context of foggy cold morning is well illustrated by the b/w graininess. I am frustrated that there is absolutely nothing that holds the eye except the aforementioned b/w graininess.

Very moody image Durwood.
The holes in the ice are an interesting element and I am fascinated that this is a spring feed lake. I am assuming that this lake does not freeze over every year and this phenomenon is not witnessed on an annual basis. Unfortunately if you had not explained the dark spots were holes in the ice, I would have never of known. The entire image resembles clouds in the sky that the flock is flying through.
