Vines & Poison Ivy

Every time I look in Flora I'm overwhelmed with the talent here. You guys and gals are amazing!

It's with a humble heart I offer my seldom shot flora offering. I shot this in the swamps south of Tallahassee, FL last weekend. It was a glorious day for shooting in the heavily wooded area because of the overcast skies and lack of shadows.

Please view the LARGE version for better detail.

Comments and critiques are always welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Bill: Great to have you peak in here. One must indeed look at the large version to fully appreciate the textures in the tree and vines. I like this because its a natural shot that reminds me of those images that are mostly B&W with a splash or spot of color processed in. Good vision, good photography. >=))>

I like the complicated weaving of textures and shapes in this image. The leaves add nice little spots of color and interest. the large version is great, really holds my interest.

The texture given by the combination of vine and bark is really interesting - the leaves add just the right amount of color!

Well put together photo, Bill. I hope you weren't down in Tate's Hell! I still have bad dreams of that place!

Whoa Bill, this is stunning! I was not sure what to think from the thumbnail, but I was blown away when I opened it. Fantastic detail and texture. Feels like it should come from a castle on Lord of the Rings or something. Wonderful!

Excellent textures, Bill, in the wood and creepers, and nicely composed with the large leaves near the top as a focal point and a lovely play of leaves across the frame. I like this very much !!
