African Penguins

Photographing the African Penguins at Simonstown near Cape Town each time we go there is always a lot of fun. I have plenty of closer images from this trip but this was my favorite one with a flock of birds on top of a wave as they were coming in to the beach. Taken on an unusually windy day which made for a higher surf. This one is best viewed larger.

Great capture - the thumbnail made me think they were ducks. This is certainly a unique image and you got great eye contact from virtually all of them

Cool shot, they are so funny to watch ! Close ups at that spot are a no-brainer, but this appeals much more to me personally . Love it ! :toast: , Hans

o idea why this is sitting here with only 2 comments Nate. This shot put a big smile on my face and is great fun to view. I love penguins and this really captures their personality from what I know of them. Nice work!
