Tom the cat is a barn cat that showed up at our place a few years ago. He would have a hard time surviving in a barn because he is slow, playful and loves to eat. At our house, he gets 3 meals a day, some milk from my cereal, and an occasional left over mouse he finds in the garage. He never gets chased by Havoc because he waddles slowly and Havoc does not consider it sporting if it does not run. I was able to photograph him as he was lobbying for a sandwich. Great details in his eye, Jim. I really like the bits of red scattered through his irises, of course, the pink nose and whiskers look good also.

Hey Jim,
Great entry for this WC, Cat eyes are so cool and you captured Tom's beautifully. The flash is just a bit heavy on my monitor and maybe could have had a step or two of negative compensation which would have allowed for more detail in the white fur. Tom is a very handsome fellow and thanks for giving him such a good home, I am very fond of cats.

What I've found interesting after looking at all these eye shots, is the difference in pupil shape, so I found this one different from others. Besides the eyes, I like the detail in the whiskers and the pink nose. Being allergic to cats, this is as close as I want to get... A handsome fella for sure!

In your face comp and as it should be, the eyes dominate here..
Excellent details and a well managed exposure as well.
And yes, the eyes have it  :toast:
