Generally I keep a PS camera in my van, in this case a Canon PS120 IS.
Spotted this new calf with it's damn in front of an old abandoned farm house. Took the photo still in my van from the road without shutting off the engine. Too risky to shut the engine off, so the high shutter speed.

Canon PS 120 IS
1/800 @ F-4 ISO 100
6-60mm @ 52mm HH

Love it! The textures are very interesting... I'll bet Mama cow is getting frustrated with her baby and her owners! Her udder looks like it's going to explode  You might crop off the back porch on the LS. IMO, it is too busy for the rest of the comp. :wavey:

Sometimes circumstance provides a great photo op John, I think you made the most of it here.
The new calf looks like it's either trying to get up, or peeing. It's gotta be one of the two:wink:
Well done & have a great weekend :toast:

I like your repost here John. Momma looks like she is a bit uncomfortable and would like to have some of the pressure relieved with a nursing calf. Lots of interest with the old farmhouse and the cow/new calf.

John,

Call me silly, but I like the original photo.  The turquoise in the window leads me to internal discussion about what it is.  Is it curtains, is it reflection, or?  I look at photos like these less from a technical than from a visceral point of view.  Am I impacted?  Is something in it distracting?  How do I feel looking at it?  I would not change a thing.  devil
