An Eastern Grey Plantain Eater poses somewhat unfortunately, but certainly better than its usual perch hidden in branches.
Taken in the most beautiful national park in Africa, Kidepo Valley, Uganda.

The perch itself isn't bad, Ken, though if you could have gotten enough lower to eliminate the second ridge it might have worked a bit better. Nice pose and a good angle for the light.

Neat bird Ken with nice details and lighting. Thanks for sharing this is a new one for me which doesn't happen very often. Good pose too. How big a bird is it? :toast:

Cool bird, and I don't see anything unfortunate about the pose. Nice details, and even the strong light worked well in this case.

Thanks everybody, seems I got confused my problem was not the pose but the perch (a wall)

Nate ,
My book says it is 50 cm, and is a member of the Turaco family, but nowhere near as beautiful as the others

The birds pose is fine with me, and I don't really mind the perch. The brown color palette works for me Ken. No nits.
