Another Great Egret from the Dallas rookery dutifully bringing nest material to his mate. I liked the nice view of the wings, the trailing feathers and, of course, the stick in the beak. (smile)

Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC2014. Comments and critiques welcome.

Jerry,
Excellent pose and detail, I might tone down the sky a little :toast: :toast: :toast:

The whites are spectacular, Jerry. I also agree that the pose and the stick are great additions.

Or "stick on a bird". Nice job, Jerry. Beautiful wingspread and nice behavior. You might want to try bringing out a bit more detail in the head and neck area.

Gorgeous, Jerry! I'm not going to argue with any of the suggestions above, but there's surely isn't much room for improvement here. Solid all-round. Sky has a slight purple-ish tone to me, but I'm still getting used to a new monitor so don't take my word for it!

Hi Jerry, the nice rich blue gives a good punch to the image and provides standout, but agree with John about tweaking the colour to a more 'cleaner' blue. I think if you had a bit more space below and a fraction less above then the 'weight' of the image will be better balanced.
