This fine female was out hunting with her son and daughter in Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda. Having spotted nothing from a fallen tree having found nothing.

It is always good to have something happening in the picture. It would have been nice if she offered a bit more perspective at her eyes, perhaps. The bases of trunks at the top of frame distract my eye a bit.

A lion in a tree (albiet a small dead one) is always special. This image shows something different, and I like that. The techs look good.

Nice on so many levels, Ken! The light is gorgeous, the tree and its lines and textures are extremly interestingand the lioness is certainly cooperating as well. If this were mine, I might consider less or more of the background trees at the top of the frame. I think it's a bit stronger cropped right at that transition line, even if it makes it quite tight above her hindquarters.
