This is the Fisgard Lighthouse near Victoria, BC, Canada from Fort Rodd Hill looking out on the Straights on Juan de Fuca. The little sailing tourboat was a nice little bonus as it came into the harbor.

Ed, This is a stunning shot. it would also fit in Man & Nature I think. Wonderful catch with the gaf rigged yawl, (I think) in the background. Colors, light, action, this has it all.
Ian and Patrick, thank you so much for your comments. Patrick, I will take your word for the gaf rigged yawl. Is that a Southern US type a' riggin', y'all? Sorry, my weak attempt at humor. . .
This is a very nice shot Ed! I love the comp and the colors. Not only is it very fortunate the yawl (y'all - looks like your sense of humor is simlar to mine - my wife keeps telling me I'm not funny but I don't let that stop me!) arrived at the right time, but it's even the right color. My only suggestion would be to try to brighten the lighthouse just a bit, perhaps by adding a small touch of contrast. It's very nice as is though.
Good work!
Ed: My one visit to this little light was in 2009 and there was construction/remodeling going on that foiled any kind of decent image. Glad you got the opportunity and took advantage. Congrats on the WP. >=))>
Hey Ed,
Well timed and composed image of a beautiful location, this would make a great 'Wall Hanger'.
Congratulations on the WP . . .
