This is an early morning shot of an old shack near the Sea Ranch Lodge on the Mendocino coast, CA. The Calla Lilies are fading, but so it the building, so I thought they made a good pairing.
Comments and critiques welcome. Thanks in advance.

5 commentsVery nice, Kathy. I can't recall seeing an image of this cabin before. It's very photogenic in the morning light, and it is well composed and supported with the foreground calla lilies.
I like it as well, primarily because it feels close to home here in Half Moon Bay. We have several old cottages between here and Santa Cruz on the coast.
That's a pretty amazing collection of Calla Lilies (from someone who knows Calla's as house plants
). I like how they set off the old house and yes, even complement it because so many of them are at the end of their bloom. Well seen, Kathy.
Wonderful light and comp Kathy. Just like being there. I might be tempted to bring up the white in the mid field Calla Lilles.
There is so much I love about this composition -- from the expanse of fading Callas growing right up to cabin as if to envelop it, to the derelict cabin itself with vines taking over. I feel the band of shade across the middle of the picture serves to deliniate the foreground from the rest of the elements and looks like it too, is trying to reach the cabin to cover it.
