Black-crested Titmouse

Some days are just better than others.  March 3rd was one of my better ones for photography.  This was from my campsite at Falcon State Park.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f5.6, 1/1250, iso 800, aperture priority, center weighted average metering, no compensation.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 17MP.  Taken at 2:50 pm on March 3rd (cloudy skies are good for something).

I appreciate your comments.

Thanks,

Super detail here Dennis, I like the setting but I would prefer the bird higher in the frame. devil

Very cool shot Dennis, great pose from the titmouse and the bg is quite complimentary too. Like Nate I think it might look better with the bird higher in the frame if you have the room to do it. Also there is a dead leaf in the lrc that would be easy to remove either by cloning or just cropping a touch more if you felt like it. (It drew my eye to it) Really nice details in the titmouse. Great job! devil

Lovely bird, and great on the techs. Surroundings are matching well on top ! Wonderf if I would like to see the bird a little higer in the frame, but I guess you chose right enlightened. Cheers, Hans

Nice isolation and good detail Dennis. Another vote for the bird higher in the frame.
