I was in central Utah on a wander last week.  Here is one from the badlands.

Very neat, Harley!  Love the winding, branching stream and how it heads off into the distance.  There's a fine sense of an aerial view, but with minimal size cues adding a nice abstract feeling.  The subtle colors are great also.  Based on the title, I expect the brightness top left is deliberate, but I wonder how toning it down a hair and boosting the contrast would work.....might or might not be an improvement.

Crooked leading lines entice the viewer towards the sun light...lovely colors and formations.  Fun to see and a joy to look at.   Smart capture and well done!

I must say that this is jaw dropping good Harley! Everything is perfect, the comp, the warm/cool tones combination, the haze in the upper left, the structures in the rocks. This must be an awesome print. Great job!

Very cool image, Harley.  Were you airborne?  Quite the view.

That's pretty freakin cool.  Going to say for my personal tastes some more contrast but see what you were going for.  Great light and lines :)

The sense of enveloping light in this is quite stunning. My eye sort of 'cruises' through the hills to the nice light in the upper corner. I like all the detail and the sinous curves.

Very nicely done!

This one is wonderful, Harley. Without reading other comments my review is based upon how the image literally flows from the ULHC to the immediate lower front and center right to our feet. I agree as the name does imply;  to the sun, however,  the earth flow away from it is what I think is the best part about this scene. Excellent photo. laugh

btw: did you try the warming filter on this yet?......just happen to see a bit of blue in the middle right side edge and thought about the yellow 85......just my 2 cents....sad

.....hold the thought here, I just looked at the larger version and it does not seem to be blue in that area. Maybe too late for me having been up since 0230 this morning going to J-tree. I'll look tomorrow again. DId you mount two images or use the auto size for the 720?

Harley: I love the mystery of no real sense of scale and the subtle play of light and shadow on the land forms. Really well seen, composed and captured. >=))>

Love it!  The depth, the light, the lines, the subject  - all work very well together.

Nice image, Harley. What I like most about your image is it's texture. I can almost feel the mounds and grooves in this landscape.

I like this progression in lines deeper and deeper goint towards the sun. Very neat in a beautiful light and texture. You found a way to bring me to say: It's a beautiful place. Bravo!

Really well done, Harley.  Love the high vantage point and the incredible amount of detail in the drainage.  Beautiful job handling the challenging light conditions.  Love it!

Hi Harley,

The lines in this image lead me to the light, and the journey along the way is a joy to explore. Just wonderful vision in this capture.

From earth to light....clearly exposed. The light offers here the extension and the breath of the scene. Natural, rich details and tones. Excellent.

Sandro.

Really like this image Harley particularly how everything leads to the glow from the sun in the ULC. Wouldn't change a thing. devil
