Very neat B+W conversion. The large version is a must see, the tiny trees on the mountain slopes become really apparent and show the sheer size of these mountains. Nice job!

My aplolgies if this looks too dark. On my Macbook it looks far too dark in the forest, but it was processed on my large Win 7 machine where it did look the way I wanted... Considerable effort was made to (attempt to) bring out the texture in the forest, I even experimented with single image HDR but was not happy with the result.  The yellow channel is best at bringing out the forest detail, surprisingly, not green.  We had a spectacular day of skies, dynamic clouds, sun and snow showers driving from Golden BC to Jasper Alberta.

Cheers:   Tom

Beautiful, I like the lights on top of the mountains and the clouds dancing around. You did a nice work with the trees even dark we can see them easily on the large version. Bravo!

The large version is truly eye-popping beautiful.  Great tones.  Looks about right to me as far as darkness.  Well done!

Hi Tom,

Fantastic atmosphere captured in this image, and them image conveys respect of majestic mountains. The trees look good to me in the larger version, an very nice work on capturing and converting this one.
