Red Fox - Nome

Here's another shot of a Red Fox that we photographed in Nome.  This animal walked straight toward us with no fear, past us and then up onto this rock hill and looked down at us.  It was noted in my other posts that this arctic subspecies is much paler than most.   Full frame.

Nate,

I am surprised by the lack of comments so far, as this is a great image. Great detail and the pose is interesting, the "perch" could be better.

Nate, the shape of this fox is pretty funky.  I'm assuming it was starting to shed its winter coat?  The head looks pretty skinny while the tail is still very poofy.
