Here's a shot from our last morning in Zion when I got up plenty early. It was a productive morning with another gloriously pink sunrise. I cloned out our tent which was on the edge of the trees in the distance... sorry Roel!
(I'll post another view with a tent over in M&N just for you ;-)
After hiking out it was on to Capitol Reef, Bryce (briefly) and Canyonlands.

Cloning out a tent!?!? What were you thinking???
But the result is very nice, Dave. Beautiful light and patterns in the rocks. Especially the dark pieces of rock laying on top of the lighter rock are fascinating. I guess they are made of a harder material, withstanding erosion better than the lighter stuff?
This is probably the best image I have seen of yours. The composition is more complex, better thought out, and more carefully shot. Aside from the colors in those warm tones there is a wonderful sense of space provided by those lines of perspective. The small rocks work well and the sunlit edges of those lines are great as well. Last night this was on the screen as the power saver kicked and dimmed the screen. Surprisingly the colors in that smooth surface came out even stronger. So you may want to adjust the curves to bring out even more color there. Personally I would crop out some of that sky to widen the shorter part of the frame and thus further exagerate those lines of perspective.
Very nice, Dave. Wonderful lines in this leading one back through the image so nice work on the comp. The light and colors are especially nice and very enjoyable to look at. Good work!

Wonderful shot! The tones throughout are very pleasing on the eye...and filling the frame with interest. Well done!...esp the sky.
