Fishing Buddies

This scene reminded me of two fishing buddies sitting at the waters edge telling stories about the 'One that got Away'. Hand held from boat 80% of full frame.

Really nice capture.  I enjoy this much.  For me, I'm not sure the Spanish moss adds anything to the scene. . .I think I would try to crop out what I could and clone the rest.

What a great image - just wish that the spanish moss was in focus too!

Wonderful image, Mike.  Great to get both of them in crisp focus like that and even the perches fit their size properly.  I kind of like the Spanish Moss myself-it provides a bit of a frame for the image and gives it a bit more context.

HI Mike

You can not pose these two better.  The only Spainish Moss I would clone out is in the upper left.  Good work.

Very cool!  I'd consider cropping in slightly to show the kingfisher off a little more.  I would play with a crop that excludes the oof moss.

Very cool capture getting these two fisherman hanging out together in sweet light Mike. Great perch and nice detail in both birds. I agree with the others about the moss.

Sweet Photo!

I like this a lot Mike, it looks like quite a conversation between these two.  I'm indifferent about the moss, it doesn't really add to the image IMO. I think the sky and the perch are great. Great job!

What a terriifc capture Mike! One could speculate about the story these guys might being telling all day- what this image does do, and exceptionally well, is tell a story. The moss-in frame-cropped out-doesn't detract from that story one bit, IMO, I like this as posted.  Nice work.

That's really cool Mike, a great illustration of the huge size difference between these 2 birds. devil

Very unique to catch two such fidgety birds together. I believe I would crop most of the spanish moss and clone out what's left.cool

I see you finally got a kingfisher...and wow, what a catch with it's osprey buddy exchanging stories.  I like the moss on the right because it adds some interesting context as to location.  I could see cloning out the bit at the top.

Oh! What a wonderful moment to find these two together. Sensational! I love it. Good shooting from a boat. Must give you some great opportunities for shots, much different than being confined to water's edge.
