I headed out to our pond early this morning and found quite a few damselflies flitting around in the wet grass. I was soaked, but was rewarded with this image. K5 IIs, 300mm f4 plus 42mm extension (1/60 sec at f14, ISO 500), 5 image stack Pmax...............Jim

5 commentsHey, Jim, I'll say you were rewarded. This is terrific. Excelelnt pose and tip to tip detail in the DF, some nice sparkly from the sunlit dew on the wings, a great bg, and, to top it all off (literally), a big dew drop with a nice refraction of the meadow. Top notch all the way.
A fine look at this df, Jim, with lots of nice sharp water drops and a great view through the big drop at the top of the blade. That's a striking green eye.
Jim, I like the simple composition and color. The water drops are beautiful, especially the big one. I would perhaps boost the contrast (or the sharpening) in the damselfly very slightly. I may well be wrong. Very nice image!
Jim ..this is beautiful ..and to get the demsel and the grass within the dof is fantastic. the dew drops is the icing ...very well done
