Seeking Shelter
Hi all.
Another shot from my osteospermum shooting this spring. I know that there are encroaching petals in this one...
I liked how I was able to clearly see the center of the bottom bloom, even though the other bloom was providing some shelter.
Any and all thoughts appreciated.

5 commentsNathan - Different Composition and a nice caption. I like the placement of centers along the diagonal and the "sheltering petals" are not distracting here for me.
I am just wondering if the center of the rear flower was somewhat in focus might have helped or not OR may be clipping the rear flower along the center using the right edge and so on. Just for comparative views.
I like this. I like the eccentric composition, which still winds up as pretty much of a balanced one.
This ought not to work but it sure does for me, Nathan. Very creative and dynamic composition, with a neat tension between the thrust of the stamens bottom L and the spray of petals falling down across them. Personally I would not change anything.
As Ian said, a dynamic comp with an intersting interplay between between the two flowers, Nathan. I like the comp, pof, and dof, and the contrasting but soft colors. Very nice.
Nathan: Love the title and the image. I think this is an inspired comp and POF/DOF choice and the color palette is wonderful. Many kudos. >=))>
