If one is going to paint a picture you would normally take your brush and fill the canvas. So why not fill a photographic frame with Indian Paintbrush? Found this incredible field http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=226637&CGISESSID=ad612547a3d406aca4a4ea64f7542a66&u=13504 wildflower hunting earlier this Spring south of San Antonio. 10 commentsFrame busting fine, Bill! There must be several varieties of Indian Paintbrush. I had not seen these before, so thanks not only for a fine picture, but also for introduction to a new variety. Cool beans!
This is very beautiful, Bill! I love the colors, comp, and your DOF choice.
This cloud of warm colors is a pleasure for the eyes, Bill. An excellent work, bravo!
This really works very well in the vertical for the composition. The colors just pop and the dof is right on.
Bill, the colors are so beautiful. I like it a lot!
Your earlier shot of the field from a larger perspective was truly spectacular, Bill - this is a lovely complement to it. Fascinating to see the variety of tones, from reds to purples, across the frame.
That's an amazing field of Paintbrush, Bill. I like how in this image you've processed it so that the two front flowers stand out gently while retaining the incredible field of color surrounding them.
Bill - I have to use your own phrase here "Frame filling fantastic" <-- it truly is. One of your favourite flowers, extremely well captured.
This is wonderful Bill. Great wall-to-wall color, and excellent details in the stars of the show. Great shot.
