Western Kingbird Spring

by Jerry Austin

Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted May 22, 201558 views6 comments

The abundant rain this Spring has contributed to an abundance of wildflowers. I captured this Western Kingbird hunting insects amid all the Texas flowers. Processed using Lightzone 5 and Photoshop CC 2014. Comments and critiques welcome.

Excellent, Jerry.  What would normally be a busy bg works absolutely perfectly here.

Very nice portrait of this beautiful bird Jerry.  He certainly looks contented in his "supermarket".  The pastels of the flowers in the background add a lot of interest to the whole scene.

Neat look at this Western Kingbird hanging out in a fine collection of greens with scattered flowers (.....sounds like a weather report, enlightened).  I really like how the bird shows in the midst of all the foliage.
