Seattle is a beautiful city. If you doubt, take a look at the updated webcam's 'best of' posting from the Seattle Space Needle. There are some super sample views of the sky and light that make me drool.
This photo was from 5/29/2015 at a popular spot near a small park. You set up the tripod and shoot through a hole in the fence...feeling like a kid at Tight-Wad hill to watch a ballgame. Others set up on a bridge ... crowded and buzzing alive with photographers enjoying the sunset.

7 commentsI like the comp and the streaks of vehicle lights from the long exposure. I also think the increased saturation works well for this shot. It's certainly a beautiful view - thanks for sharing!
Since I remember a similar view posted earlier by Steve Kennedy, I had to go back and compare. While the roadways and (of course,
) the skyline are similar in both. the colors in the sky and the overall views are dramatically different. Your view here is much more dramatic and colorful with the sunset adding colors to the sky. This view also has more sweep in the foreground highways while Steve's view shows more detail in the park area beneath the highways. Both are terrific views of the Seattle skyline.
Ken,
This is a wonderful shot. It makes me think of the road to Oz. It is beautifully framed with the roads leading the eye into the city. Lots to love about this winner.
Beautiful cityscape! Great lines, color and light. Sweet all the way around.
Very nice artistic rendering of the Seattle skyline. Nicely captured.
A neat take here, Ken. A very well shot long exposure, just right. I love Seattle, can't say I enjoy using their float bridges, I'm a terra firma kinda guy.....
Beautiful work Ken, glad I stopped by..
The large view's fab
