It was very windy on Sunday. The look of this flower was changing constantly because the wind would blow the petals, which are rather large, in all different directions.

10 commentsThe flower is a peony and you've captured the floppy, fragile petals in a pleasing pose. Your image has a good composition and a clean background. Well done.

You have done well to capture this under suboptimal shooting condition! Nice pose and good separation from the bg. Well done.
Barb - Very nicely done !. Love the gaps between the petals to show the center.
Good job, Barb! Considering the conditions, excellent. Good complementary colors.
Great picture, Barb, especially given the conditions, You can tell that it was windy from the contorted petals, but the flower is otherwise very sharp. And the colors are great.
Barb, great DOF management and nice background. I like the two front petals, one is almost opened and the other is almost closed. Well done!
Nice Barb! Excellent light, color, detail, and DOF.
Especially like the petal textures, and the green BG that transitions darker towards the top.
Very good work under the windy conditions, well done!
Hi Barb,
Wind is always a problem, but your technique worked very well with this image. The angled fold in the foreground peal is very nice. Well done

Just lovely in every way, Barb ! Such a nice feel to the petals and fine sharpness in the centre details, all on the beautifully graded bg.
Barb: Wonderful color palette and I especially like the POV and BG. Very well done.>=))>
