June 1, 2015 with moderately large surf at The Wedge, Newport Beach, California Navigating your takeoff through a crowd of others takes a little doing when the waves are large. I particularly like the one fin in the above the water as the body surfer dives to avoid the wave.
Nikon D4 Nikkor 300mm ISO 100 1/640 f/8 RAW White Balance Auto Single point of focus Processed in LightroomCC2015 and PhotoshopCC2014. This is an uncropped photo with little adjustment.

Nice action shot and I like the shape of the white water that provides an indication of the speed of that surfboard...............Jim
Great action, Patrick. I also like the various parts sticking out of the water.

Charlie, the orange fin belongs to a body surfer. The one at the top of the wave is a boogie boarder as is the fellow at 5:00 o'clock
Crazy crowded surfing. It is like being at Maroon Bells in the fall!
Nice job catching the action.
