A bed ablaze with summer flowers - yellow columbines, deep purple geranium oxianums and tall white geraniums turned to the sun. Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200 @ 161, 1/2000 @ f 5.6, - 0.67ev, ISO 250

I like this very much Ian, especially the feeling of movement in the flowers and surrounding vegetation. There is enough sharp focus on the wild geraniums to ground the scene and a great windblown feel to the rest. Different than the standard and that's a good thing.

Ian - Beautiful and something I want to do as well. Caption is apt. Excellent blend of colors, background and cram all come together nicely here.
The only minor issue here is the Geranium petal nearly touching the bottom edge. Content Aware Tool in Photoshop CC can really work wonders. Try it out to add some space at the bottom.

I agree with Ram. A wonderful blend of colors, BG, & 'cram' that have come together beautifully!
A bit more space bottom perhaps, but very nice as posted

This is bee buzzing, sunbeam sifting, lazy, hazy summer day perfect! Love the dof and outstanding bg. Doesn't get any better than this. Great shot

Ian, I agree with the comments about more space at the bottom, but this is a beautiful image none the less. There are a number of things going on here that come together very well.

This is a very beautiful summer scene, Ian! The OOF flowers make a lovely bg for the Geraniums in the foreground. Wonderful comp and colors.

Superb, Ian. Fix the geranium touching the bottom and it's a money shot!

A beautiful look at these geraniums, Ian. The colors throughout the image are very warm and inviting...as you say, quite summery. The areas of softness create a fine sense of these flowers peeking through the lush summer growth.

I am very grateful to Ram for suggesting how I might increase the canvas size on this image in PS with its ` content aware ' feature. Not having PS I've now tried it using the ` gallery wrap ' feature in OnOne's Perfect Resize 9.5.
