August 3, 2015 at Trona, California.  Tufa towers are in the foreground and the light pollution in the bottom right corner is from Ridgeway 27 miles away.

Having just tried my first night photographs, I really appreciate this one. The tufa towers make an interesting foreground and the Milky Way is fabulous. It always amazes me how many more stars our cameras can see than our eyes! The clouds and the light pollution add interest, as do the satellites or planes. Excellent!
