I spent some time in the San Diego area last month photographing with Charlie VanTassel. We spent most of our time with the local Peregrine Falcons but we did photograph birds in his yard one afternoon. I managed to get this one. There is a jelly feeder below the perch.

Wow. Spectacular image. Great job.
Nice take-off shot Nate-terrific detail and background as well.
Thanks for your comments guys. Chuck, I think he is landing in this one.
Beautiful action pose captured. Nicely exposed with a clean, complimentery background.
Beautiful landing action Nate, the spread wings at maximum apogee help make this an excellent snap.
Nice head turn, light, color, and complimentary BG
Great landing position, Nate. Excellent detail and a sweet bg as well.
Wonderful wingspread in this one, Nate ! Did it break the branch ?

Thanks everyone! No Hans it didn't break the branch, the branch was already bent like this.
Hi Nate,
Pretty cool shot. I like the color pallate and composition with wings frozen in time

Really spectacular landing image Nate. The flared wings are awesome...don't think you could have timed this one any better. Techs and PP all perfect. Congratulations on the very nice image...it's a stunner!
